Josh, I saw your post where you said the only other state you have fished is NH. Is that where you are from and what lakes have you fished there? That is where I am from so I know EXACTLY what you are going through trying to figure these AZ lakes out!!

I am from New Hampshire. I lived there for eight years and spend about a month in Northern New Hampshire every summer, and fish my butt off the whole time. My favorite bodies of water in NH. are the Androscoggin river, Moggoloway river, Umbagog lake, and Akers Pond(My Grandparents live on Akers Pond and I stay with them when I go so I can fish all day long and come in when I'm hungry or tired). The first three I mentioned are loaded with Smallmouth and My home lake Akers Pond has Large mouth and some very Sizable ones as well. Last year I started fishing in Az. and It was a LONG time before I was catching fish I did catch a lucky break in November however. Now that I've been here for a while and have a year of bass fishing under my belt I was able to use many of the techniques I learned here and employ them back east, the opposite can be said as well. Even after only being gone a month I struggled to find the fish again after my last trip, but now I'm catching some really good fish for my standards on stuff I learned fishing for smallies in NH. What part of New Hampshire are you from? What lakes did you fish? I reside as I mentioned earlier on Akers Pond in Errol. Josh

I am from the southwest corner of NH, West Chesterfield to be precise. Grew up fishing the Connecticut river, Spofford lake, Bolster pond and various other small bodies. Mostly White & Yellow Perch, some LM&SM, and Pickerel. Spring was always good for Walleye at the river. I have also Ice fished alot, I have been here 9 yrs now. I go back once a year to visit dear old mom. Thanks for writing back, Its a small world!!

That's not too far from where I lived for a few years. I spend a couple years in Milford and just over a year in Wilton, I loved Wilton, while I lived there I did most of my fishing in Sand Pond and I make a few trips to Lake Winnepesakee. You mentioned you catch a lot of pickeral also, I love to catch pickeral. Some people consider them as a goon fish but they are so scrappy, hard fighting, often are over 20 inches, and they hit all of my baits when I'm fishing for bass, they are just a blast until you grab one by the lip :x   . As you said it is a small world and let me know if you do any fishing when you head back there this year. Josh
