Those are really nice units but I have looked at them and in bright sunlight they are hard to see the diaplay. You might also make sure that the unit you get can read and save points to an SD card.

They do have the SD card reader

Yes your right, I seen that when I was looking at them at BPS but some do not and my comment was in general for reference. There was another unit down there that had a color screen and some nice features for around $250. I seeing what Lowrance comes out with next for their handhelds. I liked the Oregon but the washout in bright sunlight was an issue.
Costco has the Garmin 60cx with an 64MB card online for $220.
I know it is an older model, but I think it gets really good reviews.

+1 for the 60c. I've had one for a long time and it still works great and semi cheep
I have the 60CSX. I love it for primitive roads, off-road, hiking in the middle of nowhere and fishing. Works very well in sunlight, and still keeps a satellite connection in the trees. Waterproof, blah, blah, blah, you can find the specs online. Just wanted to write that I have used it for years and would not consider replacing it. Since you were looking at the Garmin, you know all the benefits anyway, topo maps with all AZ forest service roads/landmarks, inland lake maps and the ability to chart everything out on your PC first, or transfer waypoints and make your plan. Just love it…
