:roll: AHHH fellas, fellas, fellas, I have done gaybass fishing my entire life, I grew up gaybass fishing. I agree if you are fishing for trout from a boat or even from shore it can be pretty boring...however if you learn to fish streams and rivers in the mountains (if you even know what real mountains look like :wink: ) it can be damn fun. Gaybass fishing and bass fishing are two different things and I love both.

I grew up fishing the Eagle river in colorado. been to a couple other fame rivers too but I spend normally 2 weeks a year up north catching gaybass and enjoying the weather. 8)

Real men fish for trout with a flyrod!!!! Bass fishing is fun but it does not come close to flyfishing for trout. Can't wait to hear responses to this.

I fish for Bass :lol: with a fly rod. Poppers on top for large mouth can stop the ol heart. AND those smallmouth at Apache fight better than any gay bass. JMHO

Gaybass

Bass are my true love when it comes to fishing, but there's nothing wrong with trout. When you hook an eight lb "gaybass" on an ultra light spin rig with 4lb line, it really does get interesting.

Do they make a flyrod that I could throw a swimbait with?
Chunking a 2 pound lure and catching a 13lb bass sounds like it would be fun.

I agree with drifli and fishin3. Not much can top flyfishing for big brown and rainbow trout in a mountain stream anywhere in the west. But bass fish is also fun and I love both, especially big river smallmouth.

I love to fish with bass with a flyrod. It is awesome when a big LM takes a topwater bug, much better than a trout, but my first love is trout fishing.
