Favre signed a 10-12 Million dollar contract today so he is back for 1 more year. This will make the Vikes a major player in the NFC IMHO as they already have the best RB and a great defense so they finally got their last missing piece if Favre's arm will last...

He is washed up dude, mark my words! You will be crying the blues very soon!
I don't think he is washed up but rather at risk of getting hurt - he's an old man!

IMO, I wish he would've just ended it after he lost to manning in the NFC championship. Tough loss for sure - they had a great season that year and I expected Greenbay to make it to the SB.

All that aside though, If the man still wants to play - let him play! Nick might be right on this too... If he remains healthy minnesota will be formidable. No deny that Brett still has a cannon for an arm.
Did he pass his physical? He still has to pass before he can play. The guy's pretty beat up
That would really help the team out! Hopefully he can stay healthy! I think he still has some good football left in him for sure!

Farve is like the NFL side show....he's a joke....he might have a few good games but will get hurt around mid-season and retire for 99th time......what a idiot...he's tarnishing his legacy as a QB

BTW he has a small tear in rotator cuff, and still got 10-12 mil? Hell Kurt Warner took the Cards to the Super Bowl/30 TD passes and had to fight to get 10 Mil

How's their front line? If they protect him he might do alright. I he gets hit, it's over. That's where being young will come into play, quicker recovery time for the youngsters.
Awesome

Woo Hoo! Now I can get big money for my Cardinals tickets for that game. (IF that old man is not out with a snapped shoulder by then)
He's already in pads and on the practice field. This is not new news, they had been working behind the scenes to "sneak him in" thru the back door. Shows what kind of charactors the vikes have. Favre, Chidress, and Wilf all lied openly to the public. Mark my words, there are going to be a lot of teams that play the vikes, other than the NFC north, that will be gunning for Favre. Defenses are going to make his playing time miserable.
Mark my words herminator, he aint done! Im not a vikes fan but i am a favre fan. The vikes have an awesome running game so favre wont have to throw the ball 30-40 times like he had to with the Jets. And yes Midwestbasser it is not new news. Everyone knew that brett just didnt want to be in training camp and that's why they said he would stay retired. I say the vikes win 12 games this year!
Not sure what he is trying to prove, but I had so much respect for this guy; until he came out of retirement. Even when he began contemplating retirement those first years and holding GB hostage until the last possible moment. That year he came back and caused the chaos battling the front office, etc. and he still continues to hold out until the absolute last minute with the new team. Yes, this probably was known internally for some time this time, but man I used to love this guy and have lost it completely.

Sure, I will still watch Him play because he is exciting and still very talented, but what a side show he has turned into. If he just wants to play, or needs a bit of money, who can fault him, but get it together and stop attacking the franchise that made him who he is; not the other way around…

Unfortunately void of the facts only held by him and the big guys in Green Bay, we just can’t know what happened, but this is my view…
If they don't need some one to throw the ball a lot and can rely on AP, then why do they need Favre. I'll tell you why; because as a "team", they lack the confidence needed to go forward. Whether Favre can still play good or not is irrelevant, he's just going to be a figure head to sell tickets and make the players "think" they can win it all. No one can predict how the season will end, it's just wait and see.

If the Vikes win 12 games this year, it won't be because of Favre!

Even being washed up still puts him above 98% of the QB that are still playing the game today GO VIKINGS
The Herminator must not watch football. The jets sucked ass the year before favre got there and they started out great going 8-4 with him at QB last year with a suckass running game and not so great recievers. They faltered down the end due to his torn arm but maybe just maybe it's better now!! Now he is going to a team that is in place and all that was missing was a starting Veteran QB... Favre will take them further than what they would have gone without him.

Lets see now; T. Jones was 5th last year with 1,312yds. 4.5avg. and as a team finished 9th.Ya, their running game sucked big time. Favre sure wasn't thinking of the "team" concept when he kept playing with a bum shoulder. He will not change his way of thinking with the vikes either. He is going to do what he wants regardless of the effect it will have on his "team". In a way I am glad he is playing again, but until the results are in at the end of the season, any predictions are just wishful thinking.
