I'm looking at used boats and, while I am picky, I realize that not everything will look perfect on a used boat. What I would like to know is how difficult is it to get parts for older boats - say those boats built in the mid to late 90s? When I say parts, I mean things like windshields, decorative trim pieces, such as a panel around the gauges or on the glove box that looks like wood, switches for things like the nav. lights and bilge pumps (not just any switch, but switches that match the rest of the switches on the dash), etc., etc. It would be nice to know that getting such items will not be a problem. I would expect that Ranger, Skeeter, Champion (the common brands) could get me those parts without a problem, but I'm not sure.

Thanks,

Milt

Thanks, Delw. I know what you mean, but it is a budget thing.

you might be better replacing all the switches so they look the same. I went through great lengths to get a clock for my old stratos. It was a perfect match. after the install the light was red insread of white. I lived w/it and stopped being so picky.
