Good day fishing

I had a good day fishing on Friday. Left about 5:00 in the morning, and met with, dare I say it, LeRoy Price. Spent the morning catching fish and cracking jokes. We caught a few fish, some good ones, some not-so-good ones. The dude can flat catch fish.

I asked a lot of questions, things that you would think a tournament anger would not answer, and he not only answered my questions, he showed me how to do new techniques. I know he didn't BS me as the techniques I learned with him caught fish within the first 30 minutes of trying them.

The funny thing is that I am competing against LeRoy in a couple of weeks at the Allstar Championship, and he still talked with me, still helped me fine tune some things I struggle at. He wasn't anything like some of you have made him out to be. It seems to me that the bullcrap I have heard is just that, BULLCRAP.

Oh yea, I almost forgot. I tried to be a good non boater, offering to pay for gas, and bringing enough drinks for the both of us. He wouldn't take my money. Come to think of it, he has treated me pretty damn good the three years I have known him. Thanks LeRoy. It was a fun day.

LeRoy is deadly with a spinnerbait and a Texas rig. I have fished with him several times and learned a lot.
Make sure you stay off his water during the championship!!!

Yeah dude we never saw the guy once (except at take off and weigh in) and we were fishing the opposite end of the lake but for some reason he still says we were on his water. Or atleast that is what I was told...

Leroy is a good guy, people talk crap about people all the time, especially the ones that are good fisherman. It is nice to hear someone say something nice about him. Glad you had a great day out with him.
Leroy

He is good guy and great fisherman...

Known him for years!
what lake?
San Carlos would be my guess
yuppers on rosey. we saw you guys a bunch. we were the small aluminum boat with me in front (short dude). actually saw you guys a few times. glad you guys had fun. did you guys find em the way we did? we caught 4 overs and about 20 fish all together. all our fish came in under 10ft. pushed way up in backs of little feeder creeks. fished points and humps but the real action was shallow tight to cover. i think they came up only cuz the recent storms. thinkin maybe the fresh water runnin in, brougt em in lookin for crawdads. had 5 or 6 fish with crawdads in the gullet. one i tried to pull out to see the color and turned out it was still alive. our fish came on senkos and top water, and 2 overs on d.s. so there you have it, my report. sorry to hi jack your thread. off the water by 3pm.
Nothing big shallow, but we caught a lot of smaller ones there. I flipped to a tree, and told LeRoy I was going to catch a monster. Felt a tap, and realed a 4...incher!!! He wanted to take a photo for his website, but I don't think he had a MACRO lense on it!!!
