Went duck hunting Fri with my son, got 12 ducks including a golden eye and a Gadwall

went hunting quail birds on sat with the bird dogs and a friend, got 15 birds

Realized wgat the problem was on the other outing, ALWAYS check your shot bar when reloading. Lead does not fly too well when you load 1 1/8 oz loads and use a 1 1/4 oz shot bar

I hate when that happens! I once loaded a shell, (prior to steel) with hardly any powder at all. Shot straight up and ended up with a lead shower and unending grief from my partners!!!

Generally, not asking for specifics, but where are you hunting for ducks this year?

Hey Tater, A guy down at Needle rock got a pair of wood ducks 2 days ago, They are back!!!!!!!

Now that's cool! I may have to hit Bartlett for some "fin & feather" action! Only problem is that I don't have a dog.

Boat up as far as you can go and hit the river, bring a small pole with a big topwater lure and just cast to the duck and reel him in when you hit him
