Here's a page from the local paper where I used to fish every week. Saltwater fishing can be very dangerous.

I was thinking about looking for work in TX when I'm graduated from ASU in december... How's the state in general?

I just got back from Port O'Conner. My first time redfishing. The guys I went with made sure to send me that article. LOL

The fishing with lures was slow but the customers we sent out on the guide boats did real well on live baits.

I couldn't believe that we had to get out of a perfectly good boat and wade around with the stingrays. I had the proper boots but had no clue about draggin your feet until the next day. It was spooky dragging fish you caught around with you while you fished for more. I tended to try and keep the fish on my stringer in front of me so I could see what was coming in for dinner.  The largest I caught was only 23" long but it ran like a freight train. We caught tons of speckled and sand trout, a couple for snappers and a couple gaftops.

I'M HOOKED!

15-20 foot stringers for me. Many many times while wadefishing I put 10 fish on the stringer and when I pulled it in had only 8 and 1/2. LOL. Wading the surf, two or three sandbars out, you realize that you are no longer at the top of the food chain.

Agreed! Still very cool. I will be back again next year.
