Well my wife called me last night at work and said someone was on the side of the house looking through my 12' aluminum boat. So she called the Pinal County Sheriff and they were to my house in about 3 minutes. The perp dragged ass. This happened about 7:30 pm. And my dog was outside and just started grouling. (He a jack russell mix.) Nothing was taken because I dont keep anything but my ore and anchor in the boat, but you can definatly tell someone wanted some stuff. Those assholes better be counting their blessing I wasnt home cause they would still be in the backyard tits up with the coroner standing over them. This happened out in San Tan Valley. Keep your eyes open and your guns loaded fellas.

Yeah she pretty shaken up cause she saw someone out there. But she's got here .22 with the bird shot tips on the bullet ready to go along with my little arsenal.

Had my chit stolen recently... Glad nothing was stolen or this dip shit didn't try to bust into your house. Thieves are just as bad as rapists and pedophiles...

sorry to hear the f-er's were in your yard and scared the ol' lady. mine would have sicked the dogs on them grabbed her gun then called the cops after she put a couple rounds down range. +111111 on hating thieves!!

my buddy got ripped off fri night, they took his matching spare tire/wheel,$750, he said bout 2 months ago they ripped off a bunch of stuff out of his truck when he ran inside to get his rangefinder, he was on his way out huntin in unit 1 depredation elk, he was only in the house 2 min, when he came out a bunch of his huntin stuff was gone. He lives at Ocotillo & Ellsworth. Its bad down there. Just look at the circle K on any morning.

If somebody is trying to steal your stuff, without threatening you otherwise, and you shoot and kill them, will you be charged with murder/manslaughter? Or is it self-defense?
I'm just curious.

Manslaughter I would think, I think the only way you would get away with it is if you were actually assualted

I have had no problems. When I check the azcentral crime map, it's not too bad.

But I agree I hate thieves as well. Over the years (not in this neighborhood) I have had my car broken into, someone took stuff from my house while I was working in the back yard and I have had stuff taken from my garage. I didn't want to shoot them, but I did want them to feel some pain.

I caught a guy stealing the stereo out of my car one time I confronted him unarmed and he came at me with a screw driver. I almost got stabbed but eventually got the screwdriver away from him and procedded to beat his ass untill I was tired lol the cops came a few min later and arrested him. They almost charged me with assalt untill my neihbor came out and told them what happened. Moral to the story if you catch someone in the act take protection to confront them.

I was told by an officer that you could use any means necessary to hold them until an officer arrived. Read that however you want. But didn't they pass a law a few years back that you could protect your property with force and not get in trouble for it?

I agree that thieves are pieces of s#@t, but how in the hell are they as bad as rapists and pedophiles? Not even comparable imo.

If they are breaking into your house, you can shoot them, but expect to get taken away by the police and later sued by the a$$hole or his family.

You can pull your gun on someone to deter them from committing a crime. If someone is stealing your car stereo, you can draw on them to convince them to stop, but you can't shoot them unless they threaten your life.

The CCW classes teach this stuff in detail.
