Is it just me or do most of todays bass fisherman and outdoorsman in general the biggest cry baby pussies out there ? You guys cry and moan about everything out there . What ever happened to the days of good old fashion fist fights or pulling some bodies plug or spark plugs before a tourny ?

I can tell you have taken your boat out lately? Removed a few bolts out of the trailer rails and installed ones 3" longer. Dont worry about removing the strapes from the back it wont matter.

Oh Jesus, here we go. I'm 100% in agreement with you on this one, Larry. The last few years haven't been nearly as much fun. In fact, lack of fun and increased bullshit are what ran me off the tourney trail.

Since you began the thread of terror; I’ll bite… I’m not sure of your age; and what is meant by “today’s bass fisherman or outdoorsmen” or even what “cry baby pussies” could mean other than just inciting a response and potentially trouble. What would examples of crying be and or what is your measurement for today?
I will add a different perspective on this. I am in my forties; I have been fishing my entire life; though most of that were trout and salmon. As a kid, once school was out, I was either on the river below my house or the mountains behind it gun in hand. On the fishing side, I was raised with a fly rod in hand so this was my primary tool of choice. Just recently I moved to AZ and was forced in the sense into Bass as the primary species since it takes considerable travel to hit decent trout holdings here.
The above said, I too have noticed some things that surprised me greatly. I’m not sure if it is weekend warriors mentality, a different type of fisherman, or a different stance together. I notice this mainly on the warm water lakes here in AZ. Not so much the “crybabies”, but that morals, ethics, respect and courtesy appears to be few and far between. Yes, outdoorsman were/are typically tough and take little shit; but today I see more of the punk mentality which is not to be confused with being tough and all together different; you know FU, I will do what I want and you can go F yourself! There is a difference in being tough, and being a punk who shows disregard for people, the environment, or our game/gamefish. I see so much less respect today even between fellow sportsman, let alone other people outside of our shared love. This is not to say one cannot have a personality and mess with each other, but be true in the sense. I see more and more willing to turn the cheek to criminal activity just because they think it does not directly affect them, or your/our love for our sport, when in reality it does.
So yes, I would be concerned, even by your post. People who aren’t afraid to stand up for what they believe and hence “cry” show little concern to me. In fact I would much prefer them to those who claim to be tough and turn a blind eye; or even just try the bullying tactic. This is not a man, nor is it good for our sport, not to mention eventually you do it to the wrong person; a true sportsman. As a group we need to get our shit together and look like a positive role model for all. Keep up the shooting by the pants, party, me first, screw you mentality without regard to others and that is what has the greatest negative impact on our sport. Look at the stats, be it gun sales, hunting, fishing, whatever and compare it to 20 years ago; they are all way down when our population has increased greatly. With PETA and all these other environmental groups, we are in the fight of our lives gentleman and your actions are the greatest defense; or offense if you will…. Abuse our rights or show a lack of respect and we are sure to lose our privileges. Show the right ethics, morals and respect and we will be able to continue.

It's the general "pussification" of society as a whole. It is the same shit in desert racing. Someone slower won't move over, you follow them for a mile and finally hit them(which IS allowed) and they cry to no end. The evolution into a litigious society has put an end to the fist fight. I think twice now, since I was sued for around $30k for breaking a nose. Worst part was the ass bag deserved it and I was on crutches! Talk about a pussy!
That said, bitching, crying, and moaning is all that's left.
