It would be like installing an elevator in an outhouse. If you want a better hole shot get a bigger motor or leave one of your buddies and his stuff at home or buy the Gambler that's for sale.
lol i get a pretty good hole shot, just want more speed i feel like there is alot more there,im only running 5200 rpms

A jackplat will help kiddo, but 5200 sounds like you need to raise your motor or go down a pitch...

im at full trim i mean i know i cant go more,guess ill buy a 20 p or a 21p 4 blade
Full trim can make your boat run slower. Check to see if you have engine mounting holes that will allow you to raise the engine on the transom. Don't get it too high you can lose water pressure and overheat it.
If your only turning 5200, why do you want to go up in pitch?
how fast is ur boat running right now?

46.6 3 guys loaded 51 empty just me
I would agree go down in prop size and save for a bigger motor, sell your motor and take the combined money you have saved and from the sell of the motor and buy a bigger one. You can nickle and dime it all you want, jack plate here, pitch there, but trust me you wont be satisfied until you get a bigger motor. Do it right and save the 200 for a plate in the bank and if you save your butt off you could have a nice flashy big motor by spring.

yeah,my bday is in july,i am planning on going hydrotec then
Parents buyin that for ya??
Skeety I just don't get it. If you guys wanted a boat that goes faster than yours then why didn't you buy one instead of the one you just got. Your going to mess around with props and jack plates spend a bunch of money and mayby pick up a few mph but not much. A jack plate may make your boat handle better and give you better holeshot and the same with a prop change but your not going to go very much faster. 51 mph is pretty respectable for what you have why not just go out and enjoy it and don't mess with it.
so you sold a 40mph boat to get 46 mph boat? correction you still have the 40 mph boat........i dunno bude sounds like your SOL unless down the road you save and sell your skeeter for a bigger ride. I wouldn't waste the money on a plate with a 115 on it. better things to spend 200 bucks on in this economy than on a plate with no great reward
