Lake Baccarac, Mexico

It's that time of year here in Mexico. We have officially had our first group of the season and it looks as though Baccarac is off to a great start - really great numbers of the 2 to 5 lb. fish we didn't see all of last season and topwater action which is to be expected this time of year was excellent. Total of 13 fish over 10 lbs. were caught the last three days by the group of four out of Mexico City. In the past, we have always had great fishing in October and November, with the big fish schooling and we expect to have the same this coming season.

Thanks for the report, Cheryl. My best memories of bass fishing in my life are mostly all about Baccarac. Felipe Valdez was a friend of mine and I taught him how to night fish there. It was a blast to share the boat with him.

Please keep the fishing info coming from your spectacular lake. I hope to meet you there someday soon.
