Hey guys,

My new boss lives south of Tucson and there is a small lake in the community. Any input on what kind of fish are in there and how to get a 6, 10, and 3 year old onto them? Thanks in advance

It is part of the Urban Fishing Program so you will need an Urban License. your kids do not need a license as they are under 14. G&F stocks this lake fall/spring with catfish and winter with trout and occasionally with lmb and sunfish. No stockings from the end of June to the end of September. Right now probably use mealworms for bluegill/sunfish and worms/hotdogs for catfish. Drive around the north end of the lake and there is easy fishing access. Obviously mornings/evenings this time of year unless you are a lizard. Good luck.
Thank you!!!
I have taken my 12ft on that lake a couple of times. It is basically 7 ft almost the entire length. Fish by the bubblers and near any breaks in the walls, any points, and of course where ever the point is where they drop in the stockings. I have only pulled a few cats out of there, but I am sure it has some bass and sunnies in it by now.
I used to live in Sahuarita and fished it a lot caught a variety of fish there lmb, cats, trout in winter months kids caught sun fish.. Havnt fished it in over 2 yrs. Crawlers, meal worms, hot dogs, shrimp, and any bass tackle you have.. good luck
