After seing Art's post on ice fishing, I thought I would send an ice fishing report. Went up to Lake of the Woods ice fishing last saturday. Ice was 42" thick, outside temperature was -28, inside the shack +75. Wind chill was -58. Caught our limit on Walleyes and Saugers fishing 6" off of the bottom in 30' of water. Caught most of them on rattlin spoons with a fathead-minnow head.

Walleye vs Sauger

They are very similar. A walleye has no spots on the dorsal fin and has a white stripe or spot at the bottom of the tail. A sauger has spots on the dorsal fin and has no white spot on the tail.
