Well, for starters, because Pleasant and Roosevelt are in THE WEST!!! That's like holding a cheese steak competition in New Orleans, or the NBA Finals in Iraq, or claiming Arizona had a gas shortage when I clearly read the Governor's opinion that there was no such shortage. Everybody knows that you only hold a cheese steak competition at the hospital, the NBA finals at the prison, and there was no gas shortage...I saw the Governor herself tell me on the news in Florida. And I'm pretty sure that Arnold will be president before a classic will be held out west. By the way, where is the classic lest I look like a fool?

I think Lake Pleasant is actually a little less than 10,000 acres at full pool.

A larger lake can have less shoreline than a smaller lake. It all is about how round and narrow the body of water is.

I dont think they count steep cliffs as shoreline...do they? also, what about islands? do they count? I think the classic is in NC this year.

Another variable is whether we're talking acre feet or suface acres. Acre feet is how much water it takes to cover one acre with one foot of water.

According to a technical report produced by the Game & Fish, Lake Pleasant is just under 10,000 acres at full pool.

One reason the lakes have more shoreline back east is because they are built on rivers. so the are narrow but really long.
