I have had nothing to report lately due to no fishing for me the last month but I finally got to do something related to this. I got together with a couple of friends yesterday and learned how to make my own rod out of blanks. That was fun, now I want to get creative and try buying different blanks, handles and ect to do a variety of rods. I can hardly wait to hook into something with a rod that I built.......I hope everything holds together....anyway tight lines everyone.

what is an acid rod? Sounds trippy!

It is a casting rod where the first guide closest to the butt is in normal position. From there each guide is offset so at the last guide (the tip) is under like a spinning rod. It is supposed to be a better action rod from what I have heard. Never have used one but would like to. The phrase acid rod comes from "Man it looks like someone was on acid when they wrapped this one"
