I fished TTL on Wed evening and there was a guy there who I watched catch four nice size bass (about 2-3 lbs) on a weird lure that I've never seen before. It was basically a pink teardrop-shaped piece of led with a single spinner blade on the back end. He called it a "little george".

Has anyone ever seen one of these?

He was lobbing it way out and then taking the slack out of the line as it fell. Apparently the bass would hit it on the way down.

Meanwhile, I fished for bass on and off with spinnerbaits and kastmasters, and got Nothing. (I did catch a bunch of gay bass however on spinners.)

SHUT UP! that lure sucks and never works anywhere else and you cannot buy it at any store OR order it online anywhere so do not EVER mention it again.

What?

What's up with that reply, GUEST? I appreciate advice, but let's keep it constructive.

Al Sharpton, is that you?

Little george is made by Manns and used to be everywhere. Great little lure that is guaranteed to hang on the smallest rock or bit of brush you can find! -dryheat

Heres the link...........

If you want to catch bass at TTL just throw roostertails or maybe a small crank underneath the Mill Ave Bridge next to the pilings..........good luck this time of year because everybody and the moms is fishing for trout in the same spot.......

go to ------ !

Yeah, guest, that's exactly the same. Excuse me for not being as smart as you and knowing every lure that's ever been made. It's people like you that need to make themselves feel good trying to make other people feel stupid on a forum.

Should those of us less bass-godly than you stay off the site, or the lake for that matter? Go beat your dog.

WOW

Did this thread take a turn or what???? By the way I saw a guy fishing in Rosy in a white Gambler,he looked like a real stud. He was catching bass at such a high rate of speed the water was boiling. When I asked him what he was using. He glanced at me and said with a menacing tone " a Big-o my little grasshopper" where can I get these baits I believe he was and is a BASS GOD I think his name is Darryl

The Little George is an awesome bait. I have bragged it up for a long time. There is an Oooowa Oooowwa Ooooh!! presentation that is killer. Never criticize a sissy bait. I buy them a dozen at a time from Cabela's or BPS. Hammered Chrome or Chrome with a black back.

The Little George tailspinner was invented by Tom Mann, the founder of Mann's Bait Company, Alabama. Tom Mann named it after the governor of Alabama, which at the time was George Wallace.
