Holy cow, that looks like one of my spots in 7w. Is there a old wood tree stand and a water trough there?

no sir. it's not. but i've been following this herd ALL summer long. see them every time i get to my area. now if only they don't scatter too much before my late season. and if they do, they don't neglect the areas i think they'd hide in i should be eating me some elk next year.

definately. a lot of the water holes are dry. the only problem is everyone will be fighting over any decent water holes. find some water off the beaten path

hey Kevin, this storm that's on the way ought to fill the hidden waterholes for a while and after the bull hunters/deer hunters scare the cows farther from the roads i'd be looking for food and bedding areas. aka trails to and from...
