I have a couple of questions about this tourney for the folks that fished it in the past.
1) Why do you have to drive 90 miles (round trip) to the casino to check in before heading to the ramp? It's 45 miles past the lake turn off (188) towards Payson on the Beeline.

2) which ramp are they going out of?

3) What strategies do you like to use when it comes to weighing your fish on the hour?

I woulk think that you would have a family member watch/ communicate via twoway radios, and the weights as they come in and if you believe that your fish will not be bested that hour, run it up to the weighing area.

Thoughts..

you can launch anywhere. It is a one time check in only to be eligible for bonus raffle money, however you must be present at the casino when raffles are held to win.You are only allowed one fish in the livewell per angler. down load the rules.

I went to their site, but for some reason the PDF wouldn't down load. I grabbed the rules from BPS yesterday, but i just needed some clarity. Thanks!

They want you to check in at the Hotel because they are the ones putting in most the money and they want your business. You dont have to check in there but a lot of money will be lost if you happen to win. Also you dont have to drive to the casino each day if you didnt weigh in a fish or dont want to collect your money. They also usually have a lot of raffles and money that is given away each day and you will miss out on that. You can only have one fish in the box when weighing in but if you happen to catch a nice fish and they tell you the big fish for the hour is bigger, you dont have to weigh it in. You can keep it till next weigh in as long as you dont catch one bigger. I usually just try and weigh in every chance I get because you could be missing out on the the guarenteed $100 that you would have got. The drive back and forth is usually the only down fall but trust me all the money you could win is well worth it.
