After long days and many phone calls, I have finally got the information together for the upcoming MBC Championships.
With the current state of the economy and the limited time available to me to secure boats for the championships, I have determined it just is not possible for this years championships.
I apologize to all of you that it took so long to get this information to you but I did not get the answer until yesterday.
With that said, I have determined the best course of action is to make all the championships a cash payout of 100%. This cash payout will be from the entry fee's which will go to the winner with the side pots being distributed as usual. Additionally, I am still working on acquiring additional cash to be thrown in from the sponsors and have already been successful in getting some.
Again, I completely understand your feelings about this whole situation and have been trying as hard as possible and am still trying to make all these championships the best possible for this year. In addition, I am working on next years and things are looking a little better as far as the boat is concerned. If a deal is made it will be under contract to guarantee you will get to fish for a boat next year. However, we will also have to have the needed participation levels to secure a boat for next year and I don’t think with this economy it is going to be easy if participation is low. One idea and it is just that, an idea; is to have Seniors, Super Teams, Couples and Pro-Am fish in one big championship.
One thing I will say and guarantee is all MBC Tournaments will be ran fairly and honestly. And hopefully everyone will have a good time and catch a lot of fish.

Yeah, that wouldn't work.. There are reasons why we have the different circuits to begin with..One idea and it is just that, an idea; is to have Seniors, Super Teams, Couples and Pro-Am fish in one big championship.
Not sure if you were being serious or not...but given its you, Ill assume you really are lost, lol. 100% pay back means all the money from basic entry and options will go towards the pay out, it will still be 1 in 5. The difference is, in the regualr season the pay out is probably something like 80/20, 20 going to permits, food, setup, pocketed, etc, to the tournament director/staff. As far as I know, the options are always 100% pay back with the Basic Entry fees being the ones that are split differently.So let me get this right... I'll fish a few MBC's next year but don't plan on fishing the circuit. I plan on fishing ABA and FLW as Co-Angler.

Don't want to start a sh** storm, but wouldn't this be similar to the way ABA runs their championships? They have 3 regions and in each region many circuits. You qualify for the championship from any circuit including the summer nights.Yeah, that wouldn't work.. There are reasons why we have the different circuits to begin with..
Seems to me to be a reasonable short term solution in these tough economic times.

Then why fish different circuits when you could just fish one and not fish the rest since you only have to qualify in one. I am not fishing a couples then turning around and putting my money up to fish against the Pro-Am or Super Teams not saying my wife can't fish but it wouldn't be fair. If I did fish different circuits and qualified with different partners then who doesn't get to fish my wife or my other partner even though I qualified in different circuits someone is going to lose out.
Pick one partner for MBC and stick with them. I always fished with my wife in the ABA championship and my partners from the other regions knew it was that way going in, so no hurt feelings.
