   Thanks Franklin...

Delw, I would use it for spooning or dropshot but I prefer casting gear for that, as for the cranks I never thought about that, do you use a medium light for a cranks? thanks

I use a med light shimano for 1/4oz rattle traps and other cranks, I also have a 7foot browning I use for cranks, the 7 footer cant really whip those things out if your looking for depth in a crank bait. and acuracy is great on a 7 footer.

I mainly bought the med light for smallies at apache, had a problem with the smallies coming off and danny do and al selmar(sp) told me to get a med light, hadnt had a problem since.

you said this was a casting one in the first post then in the second you said you prefer casting ones for that. so is it a casting rod or spinning rod?

if its a spinning rod use it for soft jerkbaits and splitshotting.
