Megaware keel protector

I banged my boay up at Bartlett a week ago. Damaged the trolling motor and took a chunk out of my rubber keel protector. I ordered a new one from Megaware, a subsidary of Hamby Keel Protectors. I talked to Roger at Hamby and he asked for pictures. I then called Megaware to order the keel protector. Talked to Sue and she asked me if it was a warranty issue. I said no the boat is 6 years old and I hit a rock doing about 1 mph. My fault. Well today the keel guard comes and there where no charges. Literally blew me away. Pretty rare when you find companys that have that kind of customer service, especially in this economy. So if you need a keel guard I highly recomend these folks.

Well you can let them know I will be buying mine from them because of their taking care of you like that. Besides, any company that can put up with a cranky old fart like you, must be a pretty good one.

Thank you. All compliments are welcome on my birthday.:Iconrotfl:moon:
Happy Birthday Paul!
Happy Birthday, How big of chunk are we talking about? Can you post that picture for reference. I beached my boat at Alamo last year and hit a rock under the sand and took out a small chunk.
Dumped the pics. Besides I can never figure this picture posting stuff out. Any way peeled a piece about2.5' long by 3/4" wide. Took about 3/8'th x 2" by 3/8" chunk out of the glass. I peeled off the guard, patched the damage and put on a new guard today
Paul Matthews--"Happy Birthday"!! And many more..
Paul you installed it yourself? Do you have the link to Megaware? Is this a Hambys Light equivalent? I just started a new thread about upholtery and a keelguard. Let me know a bit more and if you installed it how difficult was it prepping the hull? Thanks sorry for so many questions.
Happy Birthday. From another old fart.

Keel guards are easy to install. I did mine in under an hour.
