Yesterday we concluded the Military Order of the Purple Heart Charity Bass Fishing Tournament and I would like to personally thank all who participated and donated items to the raffle.I watched the wounded warriors pair up with their fishing buddies and saw new fishing partners begin the day. It was great, and I personally appreciate the effort put forward by everyone to make this event a huge success.

"Elwayoung", for the raffle idea from a joke to a full on event " Thank You".To the "Anonymous Donor", Thank you for your support, this event could not have been a success without your help and donations. Stay safe and look me up when you return..To the "Hook Up" (John) the items you donated made the raffle a high dollar event. We will get with you about doing one up your way. To "Mandjtrophies" (John) Thank you for the trophies and plaques that you donated. We will be delivering them to the winners later this week. To "Frenchie" a big "HOOAH" and thank you for all the items that you donated we couldn't have done it without you.I will be in touch. Thanks to Cabelas for their generous donation of supplies and fishing gear. "Silvas1" Without your expertise I would have been completely lost, Thank you for all of your time, effort, and PATIENCE... "Bassfam" even though you are far away, your presence was felt and thanks to Sarah we were able to accomplish much more than first thought. Thanks to her we were able to take families,me included out on the pontoon boat for a day on the lake, swimming included. Stay safe and see you on your return. Thanks to everyone who bought raffle tickets. You have helped others by doing this.

Thanks again for helping to make our "First Annual Military Order of the Purple Heart Charity Bass Fishing Tournament" a huge success. Purple Heart

Too easy brother!! It was great meeting all of those I didn't know! Thanks for the shout out! It was great! Me and Gypsy even caught some fish this time. (Broke the curse!) How much money was made for the charity? Did any of the winners donate their winnings to the cause? That would be a great story for the article. Is there going to be some kind of ceremony to distribute the trophies? It would be cool to see the Warriors that placed, including Vu's missing back seater receive their due! Anonymous Donor you da man!! Can't wait for the next one! Oh yeah and thanks to Silvas1 for feeding me beers the night before. I coudn't operate the TM till about noon. (Sorry Gypsy I tried) LOL!!! Thanks to Sarah for cookin the burgers and brats they really hit the spot. What a great time and a great cause!! GO ARMY!

Maybe when the soldier is feeling better if he wants to fish we can get him out there and on some fish. I think we can go through Purple Heart to see how the soldier is doing and whether he wants to fish sometime.

Sounds great to me!! Then he can get his boat time with Vu and we can give him his trophey!!!
Frenchi, We were able to clear a little over $1000.00 dollars after payouts thanks to the generosity of all involved especially the raffle donations. I am going to try and plan a little get together once the trophies are in and I can get everyone in one place at the same time.We will work to see if we can get Vu's backseater another trip. The chapter meeting for the Purple Heart is this Friday at Thunder Mountain Activity Center at 1130hrs. It is open to the public and I will be giving a status report on the tournament to the members. Feel free to stop in and have lunch. Thanks again for everything. PH
For all who showed Thank You, I had a great time and talked to the Wounded Warriors and they almost all said it was one of the bset times they had had in a very long time. So again Thanks for all the support.

On behalf of myself and my Brother who came down to fish with me in this one, I would like to give a shout out to everyone that was involved in putting this together and to the participants. It was great meeting everyone that I hadn't already met and seeing some of the wounded warriors out for a day on the lake with some of the better sticks on Patty. This was in fact a great cause and would like to see this tourney grow and become a regular event. There is nothing more honorable than defending our great country. My thanks go out to all who are currently serving, or who have ever served.
Go Purple Heart!! Go Wounded Warriors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will shoot you what I got today, from Purple heart and his wife.
Does anyone have pics from the event?
Chris, I will shoot you some of the weigh in tonight.
Cool thanks, I am staying late at the office for the other project as well. Got up at 0300 to get on that flight.
