I spent 18 hours with my oldest going to So Cal (Palmsdale,Ca) to pick up a '71 Toyota FJ55 with 38" tires and a Chevy 454 under the hood. The ride back was slow and painful. Trailer wanted to fishtail at any speeds over 55MPH. If you moved the steering wheel more than two inches either way, the trailer fished tailed! It was a white knuckle ride home.

The ride back at 55MPH over 400 miles was almost more that I could have took. You do strange things for your kids!

The dude in the picture is the guy selling it...

we need a name for this beast.

I'm getting some Hybrid decals to place on it as well.

fire away!!

'71 = Hippies man, laid back and mellooooooow
It's yellow, but it's kinda of a oxymoron because with a 454, 38" tires and a monster lift. this thing is anything but mellow.
It's Palmdale Matt, lived next to that place in Lancaster in the Mohave desert. What did you think of that desert...Great for wide open racing. When the wind blows there the sand will cut though paint, distroy windows.

No harm no foul, that town sucked anyways. Yea lost a lot of homes so far, a coupel firefighters killed when their vehicle rolled down a hill. Not good. Been 60 years since that area had a fire like this and too much under-growth is providing a lot of fuel.
Screamin Yellow Banshee.
Tojo Land-Crusher.
Nice looking rig! A little hint on pulling the trailer, sounds like you had no tung weight.
One time when I was about 22 me and some guys rented a houseboat up on Shasta,
and we loaded 21 case's of beer and 15 case's of wine coolers all in the back of the boat
we were pulling every time we hit 50-60 mph that sucker would start swerving all over the road. We kept switching drivers but it was because we had no tung weight.
