Nearest salmon fishing?

I think they closed king salmon fishing due to poor returns the last two years. Maybe a coho season because I have a buddy in Oregon fishing them this weekend. The only place to fish salmon would be the bay area and north.

In California I think the Merced River has salmon fishing, and that might be as far South as you can find them.

What ringer said as I heard the same thing, bet place would be north of the rouge river in oregon, or belive it or not idaho on the snake has a better population than the columbia anymore. finny too cause they go through the columbia to get to the snake.

those are pussy salmon, they aint worth a shit and they dont fight, they have never seen salt water either, a stock rainbow fights harder than one of those.
its a landlocked salmon, they put them in farm ponds in montana and the bigger lakes as they will keep better than a rainbow
