Cabela's has some epoxy stuff you heat with a propane torch that works great for it - next best thing to tigging it up.

Go to Cabellas and get "Aluminum Boat Patch". Very easy to apply and I hear very good things about it.

I've talked to guys about welding on one of my old boats, and most said it will weaken the aluminum in the area, and didn't recommend it.

True if your welding up half the boat then I would worrie about weakening it. But hes talking about alittle hole not a big deal. It would be fine after welding it
