Is it legal to use an angled fish as bait to catch another species of fish? I heard there was this guy fishing with an "angled" yellow for bait. I have checked the regulations and it mentions which species of baits can be transported, moved, and not moved, but I didn't see where it covers this.

Come on you experts!! This was legal where I grew up fishing. It was more of a sunfish used for monster northern pike.

Yes it is legal......as long as the bait is a legal species. For example, you can catch a bunch of sunfish, and then use them for bait for flatheads. However, you could not do the same thing with 6 inch long bass.

You mentioned that sunfish are ok but bass aren't. Would a yellow bass fall into the sunfish, it's ok, or the bass, it's not ok??

You cannot use gamefish as bait. Bass of any breed, crappie, walleye, pike, trout etc. you can use bluegill, shad, carp, tilapia, minnows, etc. look under the definations of game fish under the AG&F rules
