My rod is now dead. Looking for a new one, but it has to double as a solid pitchin rod. I throw horny toads 90% of the time when I be froggin. Let the recomendations fly!

Pardone my ignorance, but what qualities of a rod make it a frog rod? I'd think you'd want good hook setting power, but never fished one so I'm curious.

A longer rod, 7'3" at least, with serious backbone but a fast enough tip to cast those lighter weight baits and to walk it back to ya.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The lack of any real shops out here makes it hard to pick up a rod and see if it will work. I may just have to get in touch with boatcop and see if he can make me one.... hmmm....
