·All you guys with Johnson/omc motors. this might help when your are trying to figure out why your boat is running so rich all of a sudden. You know like you took the cover off to replace a filter check timming, change plugs etc.
There is an enricher valve thats has this neat little red valve on it. sometimes you can bump it with your hand if your not careful, sometimes you just like to turn levers to see what they do. :wink:
Anyway this valve if the lever gets turned dump gas from your fuel line pressure direct into the intake for cold starting, if the valve is turned even slightly you will run rich.
This is the same valve that when you push the key in(like choke) energizes for cold starting.
Worth a check Ive had more than 3 come in this year and that was the only problem(the valve got bumped).
