Well yea and if they get it together and make it one town called Palmcaster than that will be 2X as ugly.

WOW you did not waste any time finding that lake. Have not been there since 1978. Would like to haul my boat over there sometime. Was a good bass and crappie lake, also had lake trout. That lake can get ugly when the wind blows, they have towers with colored warning lights and when the light is yellow start moving towards shore. Beautiful area. Head up the Kern River and some good trout fishing. Awesome for kayak's too.

Here is a link I keep up with on the lake.

Also head up towards Kennedy Meadows and 9-Mile canyon, awesome back country above the Kern river. Beautiful country up there.

How long was the drive from Lancaster to Isabella. When I was growing up it was about 1.5 hours. Considering now a lot of us do that driving to Bartlett or Roosevelt it don't seem as long.

The California Aquaduct is also good for fishing. It looks like the CAP, concrete but when I lived there you could fish it and they had some stripers in there that could tear the pole out of your hands. Seen some large cats too.

There is also a Lake just off the freeway in Palmdale, used to be called the Palmdale Fin and Feather club. Way back in old times that lake was outside the city and was a private club. I know it is still there. You also have Lake Hughes that is ok for fishing in that area. Then Littlerock Res. is good for trout. Some of these lakes are small but a nice get away all within 20 miles of Lancaster. In Lansaster you have Apollo Park, a lot like fishing ASU research park.

Here are a couple pictures of some small fire buring up around the Kern river.

Palmdale Fin & Feather Club is alive and well and private. I was hoping I'd be able to join, buy a small boat and fish all summer, but there's a waiting list to join. I have to wait until February to see if there's an opening and I don't know if I'll still be here by then.

Well thank you sir. I don't mind sharing my spots, presentations.
