Got on the water at 0800, tubing by myself since Franklin is a flake. The lake was whitecapping, just what you want to see when youre going to be fishing from a float tube....
So I launched anyways. Tried DS, Cranks, and splitshot in the wind, NADA. About 0900 the wind died...and I found the bite. Got 4 fish in an hour, 3 keepers...2 of them were real nice footballs! They have been eating well. W/O giving away too much, lets keep it simple...FISH DEEP. Not a bad day for 2.5 hours of fishing.

Jason I just thought of something. you know since you fish that lower lake :wink: but cant in a tourny you might want to get one of those reels that will cast 99 yards tie a big old worm on it and toss it over the dam Might help you guys LOL



Jason you post your prefishing escapeds before the tourny? Wow you got lots to learn. Your partner will shoot ya.

When guys that fish tournys post before a tourny they are either stupid or telling fish stories.

Ahh...work. Nothing gets in the way of my fishing like work does. :lol:
I do Radar Maintenance, same with Franklin...we fix the radar that picks up incoming missiles, enemy planes, all that stuff that can cause a bad day. Im looking into switching into Weather. Seems interesting.

Yea...Dude what's your problem.....Never post reports while prefishing...Unless of course it's your normal report of...Good bite on deep diving buzzbaits & picked up a few on carolina rigged spooks.....Now that kind of report is Ok. Besides... yea you like the deep water fishing but your Boater (me) loves shallow water fishing...and we will find some shallow water fish......Shit, I doubt even Delw ever fishes much below 15'...There are shallow water fish at Pleasant all year long...and some good ones too....we'll find em.....Dan

wow...another old ass report that brings back memories. Since many years have passed, if I ever find another tournament partner(non boater), it would be someone hardcore enough to pre fish from his float tube. Oh, and I would listen to his findings, too.
It was a 6" pumpkin/green flake angler's choice st worm on a light car rig that was doing damage in the og report. Yeah, I remember sh*t like that.
