Awesome post and great looking stripers. You guys make it all the way back to Neskhai or did you fish around Cha or wilson creek canyon? I need to get out there soon.
NESKI. THE BOIL WAS AS FAR AS YOU COULD SEE BOTH WAYS.
Thats my favorite place to fish on powell, and what a boat ride! Did you fish for any smallies or were you just slaying stripes? Thats a hell of a boil and the fish look nice and fat for this time of year, thats great to see!
SUNDAY AFTERNOON WE CAUGHT 75 LM AND SMALLIES. MOST WERE ALL CAUGHT ON TOP WATER. WHAT A BLAST. A COUPLE DAYS WERE A BIT WINDY THE PONTOON IN THE WIND SO WE BEACHED. I WILL SEND SOME PIC. OF THE BASS TOMORROW.
Sounds like a blast! Look forward to the other pics. Thanks.
What do you do with all those stripers? Are they good eating?
thanks for the report Dave. With the boils at Plez so spotty this year, that one really looks great. It's tempting to try and make it up one more time this year.

Next couple of weeks and those boils should be up and running. Fingers crossed. With the lack of big thunderstorms the water temp has been higher this season and I think that might have kept them down.

I actually just made that up...sounds good
great report thanks Dave, that is a heck of a boil in the picture.

love the san juan of lake powell, wish the indian marina and launch was still open up above alcove that would make it nice to launch and fish instead of travelling so far up lake?

I've never seen one that big before, heard about them, but that's it. Awesome pictures and thanks again for the report!
Dr. 6, go back to what you do best, massaging your patients. LOL Leave the fishing diagnosis to the experts. A week from Thursday and I'm on my way to Powell for six days. I see a boil like that and the fly rod is coming out. I can't wait.:D
