Rather than Obama come out and explain some new ideas, or give details of how his plan for health care will work, most of his speech was just another attack on the republicans:
"If ANYONE continues to mislead or LIE to the American people, we will call you out by NAME".
"For those who are saying this bill will force people from your current plan to a public option(government run plan) that is a BLATANT LIE."
Seems like Obama can call people liars, but can not handle the same treatment?

If the government plan for health care passes we are done as the greatest country in the world! Our gov will take over everything we have as a free country! If you think taxes are high now just wait. It is time to fight. The guy called him out for lying and that is just what he was doing. If there is a public option of any sort you will be on it unless you work for the government or a union. WalMart supports the public option because just like me they will pay the 8% tax and save a fortune. Employees will have no choice in the matter. Illegals will be covered in any final plan from democrats. Young people who chose not to carry insurance will get an IRS bill for $4000 every year. Medicaid services will be cut because there will be 50 million new people with the same number of doctors. Tort reform will not happen. They have never controlled fraud and waste on any program so you think they will snap fingers and save $500 billion? He looked you in the eye and lied like a rug.
The outburst last night was very similar to those when GWB gave a few speeches. Not that it was right then, but I find it ironic the other side is bitching about a tactic they themselves used frequently.
I thought Obama really blew it with the "I will not waste time with those who have made the calculation that it's better politics to kill this plan than to improve it" line. WTF is that all about?
The plan sucks, scrap it and start over. Better yet, quit worrying about politics and worry about the citizenry that's going to have to pay the tab for this idiotic idea. I believe that there are some areas of health care that need fixing. My issue is not reform it's that they want to do it all at once and they want to rush into it. Healthcare is a MONSTER, it's just huge I'm sure we all agree. I think if you want to tackle a big problem you need to take it in bite sized chunks or your ass is gonna choke! And rushing into it? It kind of feels like when you go to the car dealer and they try to rush you into a decision before you are actually ready.
Most of Obama's speech sounded like he was on the campaign trail again. The guy who shouted out was not doing it just to be a pain in the ass.......he's passionate about it and it showed. The people who actually pay for government programs don't want any more BS government red tape or increases in taxes. The only people who are in absolute favor of whatever Obama wants are certain politicians (pandering for votes)and those who thrive on entitlement programs. When it comes to this issue and the cumulative effect of Obama's decisions on the economy, he will be doomed by his own arrogance. He's like any other liberal democrat.....they have decided that we can't make good decisions on our own and we need their sorry asses to guide us along. What an arrogant prick he his treating us like that. All so our kids and us can pay it backward.

This plan should have to prove itself in some smaller market before being applied to the entire country. As I said in a related thread, PROVE IT first then if it's successful we'll be begging for it!! Simple solution and the big O gets to be a hero.

Obama ran on the concept of transperency and non Partisan politics. What happened to all the claims about reaching across party lines to reach concensus etc.

No one is going to remember that outburst in 2012...most Americans forgot about how Bush stepped up during 911 attack to lead us through a difficult time.
