While doing maintinance over the weekend I found a crack in my speedometer tube where it wraps around the bottom of the hull. Fixed that and hit the lake to test props and speed. Monday at Sag. I managed 55mph at 5400rpm on my stainless Shooter 13.5x23 on calm water, Tuesday on a windy Pleasent I tried the original alum. 14.5x19. Hole shot was amazing but only managed 45mph at 5700rpm. Boat seemed to have more side slip but that could have been water conditions. I think I'll go back to the stainless prop. I'm wondering if it would be worth having the prop tuned before I reinstall. :?: Advice would be appriciated.
