While doing maintinance over the weekend I found a crack in my speedometer tube where it wraps around the bottom of the hull. Fixed that and hit the lake to test props and speed. Monday at Sag. I managed 55mph at 5400rpm on my stainless Shooter 13.5x23 on calm water, Tuesday on a windy Pleasent I tried the original alum. 14.5x19. Hole shot was amazing but only managed 45mph at 5700rpm. Boat seemed to have more side slip but that could have been water conditions. I think I'll go back to the stainless prop. I'm wondering if it would be worth having the prop tuned before I reinstall. :?: Advice would be appriciated. :D
Hay, Marry Christmas everyone! :D

If you really want to get the most out of your prop send it to Gibbs propellers in lake havasu. John is by far the best at blue printing and fixing props I have ever seen. He understands them. Unlike a lot of the prop shops he dosen't just grind on em and clean the leading edge he rebuilds em so they are better then new. Give him a call and talk to him he can most likely help you out.
