I haven't fished them but was going to buy one until I felt the weight of them. Seem pretty heavy to me IMO.

I bought the 7' 6" medium heavy and through a revo winch on it to throw big deep diving cranks.
You can cast them a mile, and you hardly know you're reeling in that big bait. The rig isn't terribly heavy. They have soft tip and you can really feel when you're hitting bottom.
