I was reading an article in some fishing magazine that talked about how people are using red hooks on their baits to increase strikes. It said that the hooks resembled the gills of a fish and also blood. So i decided to try it and i hooked two red trebels onto my new spoons but only got two yellows. What do you guys think?

I swear by them, any advantage I will try to capitalize on. Hook one up on a pearl Fluke, take a look at it, then you tell me. Also, its a confidence builder for me. Not only that Chicks dig them.

I use them on all my split-shotted worms BUT I cannot tell you if they have upped my catch ratio due to the fact that I mainly fish it and them at night and at night everything is more or less the same shade of grey. I did use them at Alamo on a c-rigged 4" inch lizard during the day and they worked.
