On Sunday, when you mentioned "I didn't see anything", Toad and I discussed your comment further. I tried to research it and have found I was in fact, "Breaking the Law. I apologizeand will never do it again. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. It's a suck rule, but it's true. I can't believe that I violated a law and got away with it on Saguaro.

Yes, someone had seen so many big bass come up and eat yellows, he baited a hook with an "angled" fish and tossed it out. A world renowned fisherman passed this person and saw this. He made a light comment about using it as bait. This yellow user grew up where it was legal to use "angled" fish for bait. There was doubt if the yellow was a legal bait. Apparently it isn't.

It is legal to use Sunfish in most areas where live baitfish are allowed. Check the regs to be sure for the area that you are fishing.
Yellow Bass are not a legal baitfish. Our Walleye Club did some checking into making them a legal baitfish a few years ago. After finding that they didn't appear to be a preferred food for Walleye, we didn't pursue the change. The AGFD people that we talked to didn't seem to have any objections to the possible change. It could be a good future topic for the Anglers Roundtable.
