I've read some people store there rods & reels in the house. Is there a reason why? Does it hurt them to leave them out in the garage in the boat?

Heat hurts the line, moisture can mess up a reel and cause cork to mold. if its in a garage vent the rod storage locker and you should be ok

It's best to use your fishing equipment every weekend. Just because it is too cold for you, it doesn't mean your fishing equipment is ready to quit. I would be happy to look through your selection of rods/reels and take the quality ones to keep them in shape for the winter months.

I got a rod rack from BPS....I keep them in my room so if someone sneaks in the night to steal my stuff, they have to get by me first  . Plus the rod rack looks cool.
