Some day you get the bear and some day the bear gets you! I fished Tuesday with Brad Hartman and his lovely wife Leslie. After doing his "Fishing Fever" radio show live out of my boat we fished until 2 p.m.and caught only 8 crappie. The fish were still in the same places but just would not bite and when they did the would not stay on. We had a great day swapping stories and did see 4 golden eagles and 2 bald eagles......Art

That sounds great Art. I was making it a point to listen in this morning but got busy and forgot. Sounds like I missed a pretty unique show being that it was "on the water". I hope you're staying warm on these chilly Roosy mornings as of late.

Thanks Art! I always enjoy seeing Bald Eagles doing their thing on both Saguaro and Pleasant. And not being a "birder", I wasn’t aware we had Golden Eagles in the skies as well. Your post made me curious so I looked up some info on Golden Eagles so I could spot them as well. I think I’ve seen them on Saguaro.

Golden Eagles

Denny, I thought I saw one at Sag also. When I described it to a G&F person, they said I likely saw a juvenile Bald Eagle. I said it seemed pretty big for a young eagle. It looked full size to me and matched the description I got on-line. I saw it at the back of the deep cove across from the Bagley Flats dock.

They do have golden eagles in this state, though they have mainly been down in the sourthern az area, I have heard of people seeing them in the north rim(in the strip area unit 13 A & B.

They are good looking birds.

Had a great time on the water. Leslie had a blast, catching the first, and most like always. I highly recommend Arts C & C guide service. I was also impressed with the versatility of his Ranger boat. He has a multi species boat that is very comfortable to fish out of. I was able to get some photos of the Golden eagles but they lose a lot of detail when you blow them up. Art thanks for the great time. Brad

I've seen bald eagles and golden at Roosy - golden eagle and brown pelicans (twice) at Canyon - golden eagle and bald at Saguaro. If I'd get my head out of the clouds perhaps I could catch more fish!
