I put in a full day of fishing yesterday and only caught 2 bass. I primarily fished reaction baits and mixed a little worming in. About my third cast, I had a hog come out of the water on a Spook Jr. but she missed it. I would've loved to have boated that one. I had one other swirl on the Spook but that was it. I threw some Castaic soft jerkbaits and bass assassins and didn't catch anything on em. The bass were busting shad more than I'd seen in a long time, so we worked the boils for a while with different baits. I got hit on the Castaic when I threw into a boil but didn't hook up. I had 3 swirls on Rico's and landed one of the 3. It was about 3 pounds. I caught one 2# LM on a 6" c-rigged Roboworm in about 10-12 feet of water. I also had one fish on for about 5 seconds and it came off. That was on a Lucky Craft Bevy Shad 75 hard jerkbait. I threw a white buzzbait quite a bit too, and never had any action on it at all. Got to meet Eric Kohagen (sp?) from AGFD. It was his third trip to Saguaro and he had a 5 and 6 pounder. Congrats Eric.

Jim, Was the water temp dropping at all yet? I would hope it is starting. When I was out last week I had water temps as high as 89.6 degrees in early afternoon. Thinking about heading out tomorrow am for a few hours.

I had a reading of 85 degrees at about 2:00PM.

Tad - Thurs. morning I was reading 78.9 going into the mouth of the Narrows. Most places I was fishing were 83 - 85 degrees.
