Fished from 12:30 to 4:30 pm. It was windy but mild. I tried some worms and spoons with only one little Yellow Bass. I did manage to pick up 2 small bass on a TD Minnow in the Snags. The water temp was 59-62 deg., depending on where you fished. I got tired of the wind and left earlier than planned.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that "enjoyed" the fishing. Listened to the weather report say "little to no wind". They forgot the "except at the lake". Two days on the lake this week and no fish in the boat. On Wed I spent the day throwing a rubber trout with one hit. Today I fished from around 0830 to 1330 with no activity at all. I tried a bunch of stuff.

I started at 2:45pm and finished at 5:40pm. I drop shotted, spooned, threw a swim bait and the only action I mustered up was a 1-2 pound bass that threw the crank (Bandit 300 charteuse splatterbak) when he went airborn! When your hot you're hot, I suppose!

Thought that was you Brown Dog. It started really good and turned south just as quick. Caught fish, but had to work hard for it.

I fished all day from sun up to sun down, except for a three hour nap I took around noon. I figured I would go big in the morning. I threw a castic trout all morning until noon with no luck. After my nap I drop shotted unitl dark, picked up two, one around 1.5 and one around 1.0. It was brezzy at times, but I'm just glad I didn't get skunked!

TD MINNOW

WELL AT LEAST YOU CAUGHT SOMETHING. I CAME UP EMPTY HANDED ON CRANK BAITS. MOST OF WHAT I USE LOOK LIKE SHAD MINNOWS. BY THE WAY WHAT IS A TD MINNOW? THX JEFF.

Jeff, a TD Minnow is a Team Diawa minnow suspending plug that is slim like a pencil and has a slight arc to it. They are around $18.00 each. Mine has a bit of a white feather on the trailer hook. I got mine at Liar's Korner in Mesa when I was headed to Canyon. I'm going to try the suspending Rattling Rogues as they are a lot less expensive and have been around a long time. If they are good enough for Mark Menendez they should work.

Howard - I've used two different colors of the Menedez signature Rogue throughout the summer with decent success. They came through BPS. I don't know of anyone in town that carries this version of the Rogue. I haven't done too well on it lately either. Joe O. and AzNative (Gary) have an uncanny ability to fish these TDMinnows.
