We boated 5 topwater fish between 06:15 and 09:00 but fished 06:00 - 10:45. My first cast - fish on - fish off! He lost my hook diving into the grass or something. Five minutes later same thing exactly for Karen! Five minutes after that Karen nails her first on a Splash-It. After several swats and swirls Karen picks up another on a Splash-It about an hour later. Finally, I get one close to 3lb on a Rico. An hour later I get my second - another about 3lb. Finally, Karen stabs her last tie-breaking fish on a VPR-Pro popper. Final score Karen 3 - Bill 2! I'm starting to feel like Slotking when he takes his wife out!
Sorry, we never caught up with you, Gary. Good job on your fish.

Skirts'nbass and I went out tonight from 4:30-8. Started at Mesquite and got nothing. After dark, headed to a new spot in the main lake area I'd been eyeing. Deb got a 1.5# in about 10' ds and I still got nothing. Graphed a lot of fish though. But it was beautiful out there tonight!
