This is my first time on line. Have fished around Ken and Bayou.
Had an excellent morning on topwater. Had 7 strikes and boated 6. The 2 largest were 5lbs. 13oz. and 7lbs. 6 oz. I have fished Saguaro for about 12 years, and this morning was one of my best. The fish were caught on a Rico and a Spook Jr.

To answer your questions, I'm an "old native" compared to all you others on this web site. I went to Phoenix Union in the 50's. My name is Gary. I caught my fish on banks I don't normally fish. I move around a lot, and must have tried 9 or 10 different areas. I have found that for me , the large Rico and the Zara Spook Jr. work the best. They both cast far. The fish yesterday were very aggressive and took the lures well. I am going to San Diego next week but plan to be back the following week. Maybe the cooler nights will help everyone's fishing. Good luck.

Great to see you posting here Gary! I haven't dropped down (size) to the Jr. but maybe I ought to get me one. I know (after seeing shad yesterday) that the Jr. is closer to the size of the shad right now. -Bill
