In a Saguaro Lake report earlier in the week, we exchanged on the hindrances of having ski boats tied up all night to the dock, or worse yet- park on the ramp all night. Last week this seriously screwed with me as three bass boats- 2 with solo fisherman- were unloading at Saguaro Ramp 2. I talked to a Saguaro Sheriff today who is a fellow bass fisherman. He said it is absolutely a violation to do this- signage or no signage. He said to get the boat number, a description of the boat, and any info on the folks on the boat- and call it in. He said they would write a ticket- and they did not necessarily need to write it right then and there- but they can nab the ski boat out on the lake.

then the ski boat could fight it in court and win due to the cop not seeing it with his own eyes. I believe you miss interpeted what he said, if not the officer doesnt know what he is talking about which I highly doubt that is the case.

they can make a suggestion to them but not write them a ticket for in which he didnt see and someone else saw.

besides if that was true then every whineyass bassfishermen who doesnt like ski boats and reads this will be just calling to report it for no reason what so ever.

if you have time, email the forest service supervisor for saguaro lake, I see the signs at roosevelt on the docks so they should have the (appropriate signs available) they can have a FS employee install signs on the dock then there is no question, so next time the idiot kid says there are no signs you can ask him if he can read?

If they were asked by LE why were you tied up @ the dock all night I bet they would offer an excuse. I think that admission would hold up in a civil matter. Anyone know for sure

A pictures is only a split second in time. anyone can take a pic of anyone at a ramp and make up a story. still wouldnt hold up in court.
