I Had a Shimano MH Jimmy Houston signature series 6'6 rod. It broke (I did not much like it anyway)and I sent it to Shimano. They sent me a Clarus m action mediumfast taper 6'6 rod.Anybody have an opinion on this rod?
I heard that the Clarus line replaced a few of their lower end rod lines. I guess it's a "middle line" rod and I hear it's pretty a good rod. I have a Jimmy H. 6'6" spinning rod that lost about 6" off of the top. I like it for d-shotting. Good luck with it! ...I hear they are much better than those GLoomis pieces of junk.
I have a Clarus but haven't really used it enough to formulate a solid opinion. I prefer the Compre's but they're about twice as much. What do you want to use it for? What application(s)?
I have one of those. In fact, it is the one I dropped into the lake fishing in your backseat. I use it for small cranks and topwaters and I like it. They have an over the counter replacement warranty for life.
