I am new to the Phoenix area and would like to do some fishing! I do not have access to a boat right now. Does anyone have any suggestions on places to fish from the shore?

I have heard Lake Pleasant can be a good spot. Is it possible to catch fish from the shore up there?

I usually go for bass but anything that's biting right now would be awesome.

I was at Lake Pleasant last night off the shore with anchovies and rat-l-traps with no luck.

Pleasant isnt very fisherman friendly. If you have a quattro by quattro you can access the northern half of the lake where there is much better fishing.

Pleasant has the most shore accessible fishing that most of the other lakes. Forget it at Saguaro and Canyon. Bartlett yes but not much and Roosevelt has plenty.
