pretty cool, ... still think I've seen more impressive stuff from les and victor, although I have seen les over a dozen times with primus, the frog brigade, bucket head, solo etc. and I have seen victor wooten half a dozen times. Only seen that short clip of that guy, i did really enjoy that almost classical sound at the end playing with all his fingers.
That was pretty cool! Any Maiden fans out there? Steve Harris is a total madman on the bass. Different style altogether...
These guy's are tight. Many more great bassists and styles but Stanley is a master.

<------ nuff said. My whole right arm from the elbow up is tattooed with the 'Live After Death' cover. Maiden is #1! I'm a bassist myself and Steve Harris is definitely my main influence... I can play any Maiden song there is out there, but if you want to see a metal bass SHREDDER, watch this whole video ( especially the end ) and let me know what you think.

All amazing vids. Isn't music great? No matter what your style or styles, the vibrations of music will accommodate.
If you ever get a chance to see Victor Wooten or the Flecktones live when they come to town, don't miss it. Easily some of the best shows I've ever been to. The level of musicianship is jaw dropping.

Saw the flecktones at telluride bluegrass fest, and victor solo opened for michael franti and spearhead in Vail. Man I miss the CO music scene.
that guy is unbelievably talented, not nescessarily my favorite style but have to agree with hojo,... hard to not be impressed.

I totally dig 'Maiden album artwork. If we ever run into each other at the lake I wanna check out that tat.
Harris is awesome and one of my favorites. As a young bassist in the 80's (band called Hellmessenger) Harris was a big influence on me. Even though our music was a little heavier (Bay Area Trash Metal), practicing songs like Killers and Number of the Beast was an awesome work out.

That's awesome... It's few and far between that you find anyone that has love for all the oldschool bay area thrash, that's the foundation of everything that I listen to now... Bands like Testament, Dark Angel, Exodus, Suicidal Tendencies, etc... Could go on for hours about that stuff!
