Just curious what type of rod and reel combinations you guys are using to throw the big ones. Im leaning towards the ambassadeur 4600. But im not sure which rod to put it on :?:

For now I am using my 7' medium heavy Berkley Series One flipping stick with 15 lb. P-Line Floroclear on an Ambassdor 5500.

For the larger 4 to 6 ounce baits I throw a Berkeley Air IM-7 7'6" Flippin' Stick with a Quantum EX-500 CX Baitcaster. It's spooled with 20 Lbs P-Line CXX.

since flipping sticks, in my opinion, offer less give in the tip so i use a rogue 8'0" heavy swimbait stick w/ a quantum pr600cx 6:1 and 25 lb. test power pro. good all around rig.

I use a 7'6" Quantum X-heavy flipping rod and Shimano Castaic with 50lb power pro. I had 40lb Fireline snap off during a cast so that's why I am using heavier line now. So far I'm really impressed with P-pro.

fishermans choice has the Rogue rods.
If you want to know where you can order a decent big bait rod for about 60 bucks, PM me.
