it's been a good two weeks shopping on ebay. I picked up a Curado 100(new), curado 200bsf (like new, it has some boat rashes), two new Shimano Compre's (6.5",7.0"), and a G-Loomis GL3 7.0"(new) . all under $285 with shipping. The only thing I'm waiting for is the Loomis to arrive, I hope it gets here in one piece. I insured it for the extra $1.75! I have all this neat stuff, all I need is the boat to go with it. AzBass, tell your buddy I'm ready! :p

Good luck on your stuff. I picked up a scorpian reel with a few small scratches.I never even got line on it . It was very stiff and the spring was shot. Shimano was great when I sent it to reel repair. Turns out it was 10 yrs. old and couldn't get parts. they offered me a new CORIOLIS. I took the offer no charge. Pete

I've purchased a number of great deals off EBAY. One problem was receiving a Falcon rod that was broke during shipment. I got my $ back plus $7 but I really wanted the rod. My 2 Johnny Morris reels are my EBAY prize winnings.

Hey Pete! It's cool they replaced the old reel. The reels I received were all in great shape! I'll have to becareful on my first few cast until I get the brakes set right on them. Not much on rats nest. Bayou, I had a Compre come from BassPro Shops busted up. The tube was bent and pulled the rod out and the tip was broken off. No problem returning it, they just seemed a little confused down there when I told them that FedEx wanted them to arrange the pickup. They almost gave up in frustration and told me to keep the dern thing. :)

Pete is it? With the Scorpion? You kinda effed up...those reels are like gold. Collectibles. If you send them back to Japan they replace them with brand new ones. They are still very popular there. Do not feel bad though, I did the same thing when I gave a friend two of them (broken) for a Chronarch. I love my Chronarchs but he sent the 2 scorpions to Japan to be fixed and they sent him two brand new Scorpions. I am repeating myself...later...

Good job man! Ebay is an excellent place to pick up stuff cheap...most of the time, it's also a great place to sell stuff. I have made alot of money selling rods-reels that I didn't like or want and have gotten top dollar..........

Just be careful.. I got a brand new custom made G Loomis from a guy in Flroida (who does a lot of sales on Ebay), but it arrived with a broken tip. Its now been a month and I still do not have a replacement rod, even though we filed an insurance claim with the post office. I went and bought a new one from Ken the next day. Sometimes the slight extra expense is worth it. I'll buy all my rods locally now.
