This report is testimony to the effectiveness of shared information this site offers fisherman. After heavy salivation at Tadmo's brilliant report yesterday I gave Sag a shot (05:45 - 10:45) with a buzzbait and caught 3 fish. I had a lot of other swirls at it, too. Prior to this morning I've not caught an AZ Buzz fish so the fact I broke that barrier was the big story for me - thanks for the shot of confidence, Tad.
Anyway, I caught a 3, 3 1/2, and lastly a 5lb.4oz. Once the fog and clouds were burned off by the sun things went a bit sour for me.
I saw Howard, Brown Dog, The Royal Couple and a couple other non-posters I've come to know out there.

Hey Bayou, Lone Ranger and Brown Dog - good to see you guys today! We arrived too late - fished from 9:30 to 2 and got one fish in the boat. We were trolling just outside the buoys along mesquite. I was using a crankbait and got a walleye. It didn't put up a fight at all, the weed I got with the crankbait gave me more of a fight! Is that how walleye are? Tell you what though, once I got him out of the net he put up a fight.  Had to pick him up off the floor of the boat for a pic. Ya, ya, it was only 1 lb 5 oz, but I still wanted a pic with a walleye! Maybe I'll do better in a couple more days.

Of everyone I spoke to today I'd have to say you are correct about showing up late. All anglers said they had a bite going till the sun shined! Better days ahead! (at least you have a nice boat to fish from!)
